English is a wonderfully exciting subject full of diverse activities in order to present, understand and apply different structures.  Hands-on activities with child-centred objectives where opportunities to explore, apply and practice concepts are part of everyday life within our classrooms.  From phonics to sentence structures, English is a core part of our curriculum.

Here one is able to see an activity in Year 1/2 where the children are applying their knowledge on extended noun phrases.  The opportunity to practice this knowledge in various manner helps in the acquisition of the concepts and hence leads to confident learners being able to apply in naturally in their writing.  This is without taking into consideration the level of enjoyment that children get from these activities, which makes learning such an enjoyable journey for all involved!
