Visit to Complutense University

It must have been the wettest day for 6 months but 60 Sixth Form students braved the elements and climbed aboard the SuperMegaBus XXL to take part in the Complutense University Jornada de Orientación on Thursday the 19th of December. The Complutense must be one of the biggest universities in Europe and so we split up into four groups: Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, Health Sciences and Pure Sciences. Each group had an introduction to the University and a “round table” question and answer session with professors from their faculty. At the very least all our students got an idea of how big the university is and many of them received personal answers to their questions. I’d like to thank Mr Comiskey, Mrs Sillars and Mr Mawson for successfully negotiating the campus with their groups and returning them all safely back to the bus and the students for their cheerful spirit in the face of quite adverse meterological conditions.

The photo shows Mrs Sillars with some health scientists in the Odontology department!
